Post sleep test
Hello am new
Have had apnea for over 8 years now.. n the beginning was hard to titrate. Eneded up on a bipap which worked ok.....
have had weight gain in last year due to medications and inactivity,,,,

I have not got the full report yet
Decided to get another test done and they did one without the bi....NEVER AGAIN I ahtebeing without it
got some of the results,,, I understand they grade differntly now.... 8 years ago was 25 ahi
Now 10.8 with sats not too bad lowest being 82....and mostly in the 90's
and and RDI of 67.... geez also mostly stay in stage one and get only11 percent in REM......

My heart rate did drop to 39 one time .....
I am on a Resmed vpap and have pressures at 13/8 I am a retired RT and I can fix my machine for my needs lol...... according to the machine I am only at 5 -7 a night with soemtimes 10......

Why do they grade differently now and what if I only had the RDi does that mewan I would slip through the cracks and be a zombie with no help?

I am going to get a full report I will ask for a copy.....
So that means I never really sleep.... no wondfer I have to nap adn feel so awful all day

Any suggestions

Thanks.... Brick wall  Question

My recollection is that you can consider the RDI to be the same as AHI except that RDI counts respiratory events that do not meet the definition of an apnea or hypopnea, but nevertheless cause an awakening... so unless you have some of those other events you can translate it simply as AHI as you know it. Hope that helps. Congrats on the 8 years! I am getting ready to go through anther PSG soon myself Sad
