Well, Respironics HAS managed to come up w/yet another "fix" for that poorly designed M Series integrated humidifier and .... something to do w/the the power brick, cords and 12V battery power .... akcpapguy just brought it to our attention yesterday or the day before (w/pictures even) at cpaptalk dot com

It would be nice if they would build a power brick into the humidifier. They also need to make the CPAP brick so that it is brick shaped, not that weird shape.

 the Lights
It looks like there is a manual out there that the providers get which walks you through how to set the "button lights" - good luck with this.

I've done lots of research on the matter. Even the provider manual doesn't have a reference to teh lights in teh Remstar Pro M, only in other versions of RmStar. I'll let you know if I do find something out... it bugs me too!

I have the complete clinician manual for my Auto M BiPAP...can't kill the lights. I made a decorative cover to go over them...and make sure it does not go over the back...don't want to block the filter air inlet. I use it as a nightlight when I get up in the night or go to bed and DH has already turned the lights off...then I cover it.
I could dim the lights in my old Remstar Plus.
Have you noticed that they designed the lights to get brighter when it is in use? I think they are on drugs. Someone was in the design stage saying "Wow Mannn, psychidelic man"..."too cool man".

BeardedOne...I can see how the black electircal tape would surely do the trick...and I love my workshop and all tools in it including the tape...but it just ain't pretty! Functional yes...fitting into a woman's boudoir... oh my!

Eh, come on, Mrs Rip. Black on black? What's the decor problem w/that? Or did you paint your M Series a pretty beige and navy like our Resmeds??

Mrs RVW; 3M Super 35+ electrical tape is available in red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, gray, and white. I don't think that they make a boudoir pink tape, though.
I wonder why they don't make a brown tape in that line, brown is a standard electrical coding color. perhaps they foresaw the Zune.

Nothing crazy about a sleep mask. They can work great if you are sensitive to light.

I have a sleep mask...and a XPAP mask and then the face cream mask then the paper bag...oh I won't go into that one....anyway..all too much! I like my pretty decorative cover for my BiPAP...it goes with the seafoam and white decor, the hemp bed that looks like a giant wicker chair and Martha Stewart would approve of it..though I do not like her. DH says as long as he does not have to sleep on flowered sheets...he is fine.
I did not know that I could get electrical tape in violet!!! I am going to have to get some and open every fixture I replaced and change out the black for the violet...a subliminal thing don't ya know! Hey, one of my hammers has flowers all over it...it is sooo cute!
