Post Can it be something else?
I had another quick question.  The only symptom I have now is that maybe once a month or so i wake up gasping for air.  It doent last long at almost immedialty that i wake up am i breathing.

Can you have the gasping for air symptom and not have apnea?  Again im a female, dont snore , smoke and fine w/ my weight.

Trying to figure all this out,
Geri

Because you gasp for air does not mean that you have apnea. Please read the FAQ fo the other symptoms of apnea.

To find out why you gasp for air, a pulmonologist should be able to figure that out.
It is a point of concern, respiratory problems can cause other major illnesses.

Best of luck.

Post Thanks Jake
I was sitting here panicking that now I definetly have apnea. Like I said it doesnt happen often but I should mention it to my doctor.  Cause when it does happen it freaks me out.  Do you know if it can be anxiety related?   I already have lupus and so i get stress from that.  Just wondering?

Thanks again for responding so quickly. I feel calmer now.

Geri
