First, thanks to everyone on guiding me on getting the right equipment. If I had not come here I would have been stuck with the junk they were trying to push on me. I got a the Restronics M Pro series with C-Flex, and fully data capbable. The first vendor I went too did everything to talk me out of it, then told me it would be three weeks before they could get what I wanted. I said, "goodbye". Went somewhere else where they still tried to talk me out of it, but I persisted and brow beat them into submission. My DME was very helpful, then she asked me out to lunch. I accepted, but when we got to the resturant, I found out she was a smoker, and no offense to smokers, but I cannot date someone that smokes, and I never called her. Not good to blow off your DME, now I think I need to find a new one.
Ok, for the question I cam here. I got my cpap, it seems to be working well, and I am sleeping much better. However, I notice if I sleep on my back, or my right side I will open my mouth, wake up with a bit of a dry mouth and notice my mask is leaking. If I sleep on my left side, it's perfect. Now my ENT has never asked for a follow up, or asked to take a look at my data. Should I be seeing another type of doctor? I thought of buying my own reader and softare but it's really expensive, and would I even understand it. So what should I do now?

So don't date her - but take her out to lunch on occasion! Not too often so as to not give the wrong impression of where things are going, of course. But often enough to stay in her good graces. Just friends. Chin straps can work for mouth breathing where you actually open your mouth - but for mouth leaks, uh uh. For those leaks thru the lips consider a THIN layer of PoliGrip Denture Gel on the lips from corner of mouth to corner of mouth. Your DME supplier should be able to do a download of your data from time to time and give you a copy.

Geeekers Punisher....sleeping with the enemy aye? I fully agree with Crohnie....do lunch once in awhile...while you are at it...can ya get me some filters?
My RT comes into the house smelling like smoke covered with tons of perfume!
Fisrt of all...congrats! I would personally be seeing a sleep Dr. This may sound silly but could your pillow have something ot do with it? The way you rest your head on the left side verses the other positions. I KNOW...I KNOW...get the DME to sleep over one night and tell you!!!! Ok, I am being a wise butt....however, you are the one that first mentioned the date...and I am in a fun mood.

LOL, thanks, made me spit crystal light through my nose! Not bad, a low cal impromtu sinus irrigation. As far as sleeping, I'm not really sure. Now I've played tennis all my life, and had surgery some years back, and for a year I couldn't sleep on my right side, and since then I think I still favor that side if not anything but for habit. The DME that I go to does not have the softwar or card reader. I think I'll call where I had my sleep study done, and have them refer me to a doctor other than my ENT.
