apnea or something else?

Post apnea or something else?
I am going to post here something I have posted somewhere else... I was wondering if you can get these symptoms from sleep apnea.... I am not sure if I suffer from derealization/depersonalization or from something else.
Any help would be really appreciated!
Worst symptoms are in bold.

-feeling drunk 24/7 - as if I had had two glasses of wine
- lightheadness - same feeling when you have the flu and have some kind of flu medication that makes you 'out of it'
-drowsy feeling
- the perception seems distorded
-everything feels like I am dreaming it - like a severe jet lag
- time perception is altered: something that happened 2 hours ago or 4 weeks ago seems like way in the past, as if I couldn't remember what happened exactly (all the details, etc)... feeling of timelessness
-feeling tired (sleepy) now matter if I sleep 7 or 12 hours
- too much sleep/too little sleep make the symptoms much worse
-it takes for ever for me to wake up - sometimes, like today i just don't - no matter how many cups of coffee/showers I take
- mild 'headache' - more like a heavy feeling on top of my head, as if I had a weight
-sensitivity to the light - specially fluorescent lights and cloudy days
-feeling of mild numbness

Post it's me again
By the way, I never ever ever wake up during the night.... I go to bed at 10 and I need to set up 3 alarms to wake up at 7!! and I feel tired afterwards.... like a cloudy feeling or extreme brain fog

Post HAVE YOU HAD A SLEEP TEST
I have/had these symptoms and was diagnosed a year ago with moderate sleep apnea.  I feel better at night and I get lightheaded when I excercise.  The best way to describe it is a bit like a hang over.  The best time of day is from 10am to 2pm and 8pm-11pm.  If I do drink alcohol the next day I feel like I have been hit by a truck.  You should  get a sleep study.

Post Hmm
Odd.. I don't ever feel drunk, I've woke up with a darn headache a time or two...
Sadly enuff I had brought home this machine that checks your oxygen level while you sleep, and well for some reason I didn't get enuff time for the reading to do any good, now they have to bring it back to me and I have to try it one more time... I do know that when I woke up once during the night, my o2 was down to 76 or somewhere in there.. and that is with my oxygen on 2 and a half....
Also I have tons of "Other pre existing medical conditions" so all in all, it makes it worse I guess...
Is it possible that the loss of someone could make all of this worse??? I don't know, just was wondering!!

It may be sleep apnea; many of the symptoms you list could be caused by apnea or other sleep problems.  See your doctor; he can do blood tests to check for other problems, particularly thyroid problems; if no other problems are found, a sleep study may help to sort out the cause of your problems.

Does it get better with one of those masks?
Did the symptoms started for you all at the sudden or gradually?
Thanks

Guest, we are seeing you repeating the same thing over and over again. I  am concerned that you may be seriously depressed, please consider that you may need to be hospitized. Don't be afraid of  going to the hospital, it is not anything like you see in the movies. It's just summer camp, meeting, snacks, crafts, with good health care people who can watch you and get you established on meds that will help you heal.  Take care, Virginia

It might be...it might not be.

You won't know unless you have a sleep study which is just an overnight stay in a sleep lab.  Speak to your Doctor.

22 14:

The symptoms came on gradually and then BOOM I had trouble sleeping and felt fatigued and had many symptoms associated to sleep deprivation.  Yes I feel a bit better when I wear cpap, but I only keep mask on for three hours a night.  If you have not gotten a sleep test...Get one.

Yes, you describe everything I'm feeling. I'm getting a little more sleep with my full face mask, but still have disturbing feelings all day.

-feeling drunk 24/7 - as if I had had two glasses of wine (yes, this is worse in the morning for me)
- lightheadness - same feeling when you have the flu and have some kind of flu medication that makes you 'out of it' (yep, get it in the morning and the lightheadedness more in the afternoon)
-drowsy feeling (yep, have it - have dozed off or have fought dozing off)
- the perception seems distorded (mine is more like dulled thoughts/slower thinking)
-everything feels like I am dreaming it - like a severe jet lag (I have also had this feeling)
- time perception is altered: something that happened 2 hours ago or 4 weeks ago seems like way in the past, as if I couldn't remember what happened exactly (all the details, etc)... feeling of timelessness
-feeling tired (sleepy) now matter if I sleep 7 or 12 hours (definitely have this)
- too much sleep/too little sleep make the symptoms much worse (yes, for sure!)
-it takes for ever for me to wake up - sometimes, like today i just don't - no matter how many cups of coffee/showers I take (I don't wake up completely, seem most awake at night. I'm awake, but it seems like my brain is on low power)
- mild 'headache' - more like a heavy feeling on top of my head, as if I had a weight (I definitely get a heavy feeling/brain fog, and dull aches that can turn into headaches with stress or strong emotion. My head is very sensitive to everything.)
-sensitivity to the light - specially fluorescent lights and cloudy days
-feeling of mild numbness (yes, I have gotten numb hands, and shoulder - and even kind of like my head is numb)

I also have:

- something that feels like irritable bowel syndrome - I'm in enough discomfort without this stuff. At night, it can even feel like I have pulled stomach muscles.
- very poor concentration and attention span
- sore leg muscles and RLS
- frequent urination
- tinnitus and ear fullness; occasional earache
- mild out of breath feelings and feeling the heart more - some pains around my nipples and more sensitive muscles
- feels like there's a grip on your head
- feelings of spacing out when I go out to stores and other events; it is uncomfortable to go out.

I was diagnosed with severe OSA; do you also get those?

I haven't been diagnosed with apnea yet. I have been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and I am amost positive that I suffer from a depersonalizaion/derealizaion disorder.
Do you wear a mask? Does it help?

Yes, I have been diagnosed with anxiety. But I'm stressed because I'm not sure if apnea + anxiety can cause all of my discomforts. Do you get what the OP gets and what I get, 28039?

I wear my CPAP full face and it IS helping a little with the insomnia. But I awaken too much, and don't dream enough. My sleep still feels too light.

the op and 28039 is th same person :) me! The first time I posted I din't have to log in or create and account, but I figured out that I needed one in order to respond.
I don't suffer from insomnia at all.... I could sleep 24-7-365 if I could
