Post your experiences with tonsillectomy and septoplasty, please
I just had these procedures done last Thursday.  I am still in complete agony, i haven't eaten anything, because everything feesl too thick and tastes bad, but have been forcing water down.  i know that things are supposed to be worse when the scabs form or come off, but all I see is the white/yellow area where the tonsils were.  i cannot breathe at all through my nose and it feels like everytime i drink something, that the liquid goes up my nose instead of down my throat.  i am having a hard time sleeping with the cpap due to the clogged nose issues.  I really just want to hear that there is light at the end of the tunnel and your stories, please.

day 1 after tonsillectomy, septoplasty, turbinate reduction. Don't have any issues with the nose or uvula, it is the tonsils that is bothering me.
Am on a liquid diet, have to take codein every 4 hours to get rif of pain while swallowing.

Keep yourself hydrated, seems like that is very important. Wish you good luck!

Also, to reduce swelling in the nose, my surgeon told me to keep my head upright while sleeping (use 3-4 pillows)
