Awesome response, GMan, because it does Smile   What the others have posted is right on the money too.

Sure, it is VERY embarassing to wear a mask for sleep, who wants to do that?  Especially when shy.  But... get over it Smile  Life goes on with CPAP, a good life that is!  If you are dating a nice girl but find she doesn't like your taste in clothes or cooking or car or being frugal or being a spendthrift or....  name any number of incompatibilies.  You don't see yourself long term with that girl, right?

CPAP is just another part of the life that is "you", if a girl has issues with it, then move on.  Chances are quite high there will be no such incompatibility when it comes to CPAP, but much more likely it will be over something else Smile

Life is good!  Embrace it and get on with the dating Smile

Here's a good (or at least, funny) side to CPAP to get you started.  There's more where that came from, if you do a few searches... try 'cabana boy' LOL

And don't follow TedG954's example Smile

What's UPPP? And what's laetrile? :)

If you build the relationship and a girl really likes you she won't be put off by the machine. If she is then I'd have to wonder if she's anyone you would want to even be with.
My cpap is no big deal to my girlfriend because I don't make a big deal out of it. We have a normal life just like any other dating couple. We have our fun time, cuddle time, pillow talk time... just like everyone else. When one of us is ready to sleep we say goodnite, the mask goes on and we sleep. I'm so energetic from using my machine that she would have no reason to complain about it anyway.  Don't make a big deal out of the machine, don't act like you're less of a man because you need to use it. Present it as if it's the thing that keeps you strong & manly.

Well, yes. But I think that after that "good night" saying I'd rather retire to a different room. And why not? It might even be quite comfortable for many people to sleep on different beds or in different rooms...
