I just got my new sport-model ResMed VPAP and a set of nasal pillows (I forget the brand).
I've tried 5 times, and I simply CANNOT exhale properly through it - it's not got enough holes, feels very, very slow and makes breathing uncomfortable. A disappointment that may be just how nasal pillows are, making a full darth-vader style mask more suitable for me.
I wanted to see if others had the same problem and what, if anything, they've done to resolve it. I've been tempted to get my drill out and make the external/exhale holes larger
I've tried playing around with the nasal pillow inserts - I'm very sure I have them installed and fitting my nose properly. I tried it without the nasal pillows, but got the full-throttle (and loud) CPAP effect, from a machine that is supposed to regulate as you breath, so not appropriate for that setting (it can do bipap, cpap, etc).
Thanks,
Forrest
