Post Sleep Study Last Night
I have been lurking for the past week or so and had my first sleep study last night so I decided to join.  The sleep study overall was all that bad but it would not call it a pleasant experience.  I had a very difficult time finding a comfortable position to sleep in and it took me a while to fall asleep.  As soon I did I woke up and had to go on a bathroom break.  After the bathroom break it took some time to get back to sleep especially when the tech told me to try and sleep on my back.  I normally sleep on my side.  Well after about 20 minutes on my back and no sleep I rolled to my side and after sometime fell back to sleep.  I was out of the center by 5:30 am.  I was laying awake probably for about 45 minutes before the tech asked me over the intercom if I wanted to call it quits which I did.

Unfortunately, the tech wasn't willing to give up any information except to tell me that I did snore.....big surprise.  Well hopefully the results will be back soon as the neurologist that referred me to the center is the doctor that runs the place.

Wlecome to the forum, Jim. Sleeping w/all those wires, etc. isn't the easiest thing in the world, especially in strange surrounding. Good luck w/your results!

You may also be surprised to learn you slept more than you thought you did.  I though I maybe got two hours sleep all night, but it was more than double that.  Sure didn't seem like it!

Also, they do not need hours & hours of sleep data to make a firm diagnosis.  As long as you slept some...they will know.

I do know I slept some but it sure was a different sleep than I get in my own bed.  I guess the one thing I am thankful for is I do not find myself sleepy during the day or it could be the fact that I have been feeling sleepy and just have gotten used to it as the norm.

I was actually scheduled for a split-study but never got any consistent sleep I believe until 3 - 4 hours into the test.
