You get a prescription from your doctor for your new pressure, who will either have somebody in his office change the pressure or he will have you take it to your DME to get it changed.

The bigger question is, why do you think you need to change it?  Has something changed since your PSG?  If you are still symptomatic, you might want to make sure that you don't have anything else going on before chasing the raise the pressure rabbit.

Post Sorry . . .
If a post is going to be censored/deleted it would be nice to be notified the reason for the deletion/censorship. I don't think any of the  rules were broken by my post. Eh?  I did not tell him how to do it, nor did I tell him where to go to find out how to do it.
I will just lurk from now on and refrain from posting.

If you looked at the posting guidelines, before posting.

Posts about CPAP adjustments:
Although the ASAA advocates being proactive in ones treatment, we can not advocate or encourage making pressure adjustments or other CPAP clinical adjustments without consulting with your physician.  Please do not post instructions or how to guides for making adjustments or entering clinician menus to make adjustments.  We thank you for your understanding.

Post Since you decided to do this openly in the forum.
Quoted from the posting guidelines:

Quote:

Conduct in the forum and chatroom:
We encourage lively discussion and debate, however discussions should be limited to conversation which will not be offensive to users of our forum and chatroom.  The forum and the chatroom are run to provide a non-threatening or offensive environment for people needing to discuss their problems and concerns about this condition.  Refrain from making comments which can offend and drive visitors away.  Messages and materials that are defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive to or about groups of people or individuals are not permitted. The forum administration reserves the right to moderate discussions and prohibit persons from continuing offensive discussions or discussions which are against ASAA policies and guidelines.

Insulting people and calling them names because they choose to have medical advice before adjusting pressure is uncalled for.  IF you feel comfortable playing doctor, your choice of forums is very limited, in fact to one.  The rest of the forums have chosen not to throw the baby out with the bath water, just because the system is broken.

As an organization that pledges to reduce injury from Sleep Apnea, instructing OSA patients to completely remove the medical profession from the equation is at odds with that statement.  There are a number of folks that have caused themselves at the very least discomfort, and if they turned the pressure down, there is no telling if they are getting effective treatment.  Yes, APAP's are getting really smart, but they still can not compete with a PSG.

So, if you think that you can not refrain from insulting people, then by all means, lurk and don't post.
