Hello all.  My son was diagnosed with what the docs are calling extremely severe obstructive sleep apnea in july.  He just turned 7 and has no symptoms except gasping and sighing at night, NO SNORING.  Today we got a bipap machine and tonight we are going to see what happens.  I am very new at this and would appreciate any help you have to offer.  Thanks!!

Hello again.  I don't know exactly what to expect from my son as far as how much he should be wearing teh Bi-Pap   in the beginning.  He wore it 40 mins the first two nights and and hour and fourty mins the next two nights.  The issure here is that he is still having 10 secs of apnea WITH the Bi-Pap on !  Then the DME company told us they had ordered and given us the wrong machine and he needs one with like a ventelator in it that will cost us loads.  I am getting frustrated with the Dr. too.  And this is just the beginning I'm sure !!
