Post mask leaks
I guess I am not the only one who "had" problems with leaks. I am a new cpap user (July '05) and had all sorts of problems with air leaking around the eyes for the first couple of months. My Doc. sugested I try the nasal system which lasted about 20min into my first night before I went into a rage and distroyed it. (I still find small bits of rubber scattered about the bedroom-LOL). This desperate rage for relief turned out to be a blessing of sorts.
That evening I went to work on a design for my nasal mask that would put and end to my leaky problem.
The mask I use is a FlexiFit 407a by Fisher&Paykel. The problem was/is the foam insert which I suspected was invented by a "non" user...I could be wrong but thats my guess. So it was up to me to find a solution. I have done just that and I now can dance, stand on my head and play hockey in my bed if I wanted to and the thing keeps a perfect seal all the time and at least 5 times the comfort than the way it comes out of the box. I would love to share this idea with everyone but I have no clue how to go about getting a patent and/or selling my idea to the company.
Any advise? Thanks

I SOOOO wanted to be the person who got credit for creating the first sport bottle.. out of washed soap dispenser bottles.  MAN.. BUT, more seriously, I would search google and type in ... how to patent my invention.... and DO it.
Really.   No one would benefit except you if you keep this secret.
Go for it.
Good luck!
