Well, we have completed week one with hte CPAP. My son seems to love it - makes sure I put it on before book time and is quickly falling asleep. He has also adjusted well since the firest night of many many wakeups. The last two nights he has slept straight through, no wake ups.
We are still having some 'rain' problems with the mask. I think the cover for the hose is going to be a necessity, as we are down to no humidity and still have rain.
? on the leak rate and the AHI from the machine's read out.
The leake rate seems to be constant at 27, is this high, low? Does it matter?
We are using a Fisher Paskel Petite 406 mask.
As for the AHI, the goal is less that 1, correct? Out 7 day average is 3.1, and has ranged for the week from 3.0 to 3.7.
This is barely better than his sleep study score with no CPAP.
Does this mean the presure should be turned up? Or could his first few days of pulling the mask off in the middle of the night be skewing the scores?
Does the data from the card have details per day, vs the 7 and 30 day averages that I can view on the machine?
Thanks!
