HI

My name is Tony, i am 51 years of age and have had tests for apnea, the consultant said there is something because there were episodes when i did not breathe, i think he said 10 in one hour or something. My previous girlfriend and my present partner both say I snore loudly and seem to stop breathing, one thing i can definetley say is that i never wake refreshed.  Just lately my legs ache like mad, its like toothache, i read that this can be a symptom, is it possible to have mild apnea? the consultant said there was something there but was unsure, i have been wired up at home with a diagnostic kit but was unable to rest with all the stuff on.  Any of you guys had similar problems, do you think i should pursue further investigation, its just with the aching legs starting i am wondering if i am getting enough oxygen at night.

YES - keep investigating what's going on. From what you have posted already it looks like you may have obstructive sleep apnea.. but don't take the work of some random truck driver on a message board. Find a good physician familiar with sleep medicine.
