Remstar Pro M Series - problems recording data

Postby ApneaKiwi » Thu Apr 23, 2009 5:44 pm

hi hoseheads,

I've just switched to a Respironics Remstar Pro M Series, and i'm having a few issues with data. I don't yet have the software so I'm reliant on the daily readings off the machine. I am clearing the data each day, but sometimes the next day it has recorded nothing and it reads 0.0 in all fields. Last night i woke up 1.5 hours before my usual time, and the machine only recorded that last part of the night. Any ideas?

I am trying to get my AHI below 7.0 and today the machine read 6.5.... but I feel I can't celebrate yet, because it's only based on 1.5 hours. I'm finding this machine much better for me than the Resmed I previously used, except for this data problem.

thanks folks

Newbie here last night was my first night with the remstar pro. AHI reading isnt even an option in the menu I went through abd seems like the unit want to report averages of 7 and 30 days. However I also only see all zeros for any readings after the first nigth.

Hi spidey and welcome.

You're in luck, because since posting this question, I have found the answer... missing data is a known problem with this type of machine - but, it's not all bad news - you still get a reading most nights, plus for me it has lowered my AHI (because the algorithm is more effective at my pressure level than the Resmed one was.

Sounds like your DME may have locked some of the data functions like mine did. There are ways to find out how to unlock it and access your data. Since unlocking the settings also provides a way to change pressure settings, which isn't supported by the ASAA, people don't tend to post the instructions in public here.

Anyway, once you get access to your data you'll be on the way to fully participating in managing your own care.

Cheers
