Sleep apnea or something else?

Post Sleep apnea or something else?
I was wondering if anybody could help me out. I don't know if I have sleep apnea, I live with my girlfriend, and she says I snore a lot, but I have no idea if I do or not. I just know I had a fungal infection, and I thought that I might be tired from that, a doctor I've gone to says it wasn't. I've felt like all I want to do is sleep all day for about two months now. I use to go to the gym and lift weights, that ended about two months ago, after I did bench presses I just felt like falling asleep right there on the bench when I should've felt really pumped up. I just have no energy to do anything except sit down and watch tv now. I'm tired basically all day, from the time I get up, until I go to bed that night. Does this sound like sleep apnea? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I've felt the same way for at least 6-12 months, and looking back on things, I think it's safe to say I've had OSA for years. It just got slowly worse each month until I realized I wasn't just getting older or lazy, something was wrong. I just started CPAP therapy 2 weeks ago and I'm improving a slight bit each day. I'm looking forward to being my old self again.

You should tell your doctor about these symptoms. He'll likely recommend a sleep study and then you'll know one way or another. If it is sleep apnea, take heart. Lots of people have it and we're getting better thanks to CPAP.

You need to get a blood work up - your thyroid can be causing these problems, low iron, as well as sleep apnea.
