Post My Boyfriend Has Sleep Apnea!
My boyfriend and I just spent the last few days together when I visited him for the first time at his home in St. Catherines and I noticed a couple things that really startled me about his sleep apnea , and it made me wonder why and if anyone else with sleep apnea has been experienceing the same types of problems.

Sometimes When I would be laying with him together on his bed watching a movie, he would fall asleep and start snoreing REALLY loudly (which I know isn't uncommen), but then when I would nudge him to wake him up, he would wake up and look at me with a confused look on his face saying "What? I thought I was just talking to you" .

I wanted to know are these syptoms normal with people who have sleep apnea? He seems to be unaware of the fact that he was even sleeping, and it happens quiet quickly and frequently.
Even withen afew mins of just laying there with him, he'll unknowingly fall sleep on my shoulder. His snoreing becomes so loud, it bothers me to the point where I canr even fall asleep in the same room as him, so I have to move myself!! What can I do to help. if anything?!                       PLEASE HELP ME!!!

Hi,

Your boyfriend needs help. Symptoms are typical of Excessive Daytime Sleepiness (EDS) which is caused by untreated sleep apnoea.

Suggest he gets his GP to refer him to a good sleep specialist, who can diagnose and treat his condition.

Hi Guest!

Has he been diagnosed with obstructive sleep apnea?  Just because he snores doesn't mean he has it.  Conversely not all people with OSA snore.  Have him take this test and that will point him in the right direction.

You might consider registering, it is free and there are additionaly forum perks with being registered.

Snore Score
