Quick question (maybe to the great Dr Smith)
Again re cap: AHI 28 RDI 42 Had UPPP/Tonsils ect/ had sleep study two weeks ago still have moderate to severe sleep apnea.
Found out that my large tongue, small jaw/mouth, and receded jaw is causing the sleep apnea. Doc wants to perform MMA and GA advancement 17.8 mm on lower jaw and 6.8 on top.
He stated that when tongue is involved with sleep apnea vs someone overweight that cpap does not work as good because the tongue is so heavy.
I have the TAP 3 and at total advancement only goes to 9mm.....So with my calculations I am still short 8.8 mm and again not getting a therapeutic response. Any input on this would be great.
