I went to the Doctor today to get my results. I wound up speaking with his nurse practioner, who I was very impressed with. He was very thorough and did an excellent job of explaining everything. I have learned enough on this board that he actually didn't have to go into as much detail as he did.
I didn't get a copy of the results, but here are the high (or low) lights. I never got past Stage 2 sleep, until after they put the CPAP on me. I had an AHI of 102 and O2 was 58%! The sleep tech had written that in great big numbers on the report, so you couldn't miss it. They put me on CPAP about 1 1/2 hours into the study and later changed it to BiPAP. Once they got the pressure right, my AHI went to 0, but my leg movements went nuts.
I am finally going to get my machine tonight. They still don't know if my insurance will pay for anything or not, so they are setting me up with a rental, for now. It really doesn't matter if they pay for it or not. I can't wait to start sleeping normally.
