Diary for Venting, Ranting, & Blowing off steam
I feel a vent/rant building up and decided to reserve a thread downhere in Late Night so that I have a safe place to let it out. No suggestions or help is needed. Just need a place to vent frustration.
Maybe tomorrow will be better.
Edited to add:
Hi Linda,
Yes, I am using this like a whiteboard. I let out my frustrations, makes me feel better, then I later erase it if I don't like what I wrote.
My symptoms are becoming worse and worse. I beleive it's due to spontaneous arousals (Index = 30) and alpha intrusions. I try hard everyday, but I can see that there are not many options left. So I needed a vent thread.
Regards,
Guest MJ

Hmmm, seems you've edited out your rant. And I removed the second post; it said post removed, so I thought maybe it had been a duplicate originally.
Hey, you needn't remove your rants if you don't want. We understand rants. We INVENTED rants!
I have one of my own, but it's not apnea related, I don't think. Seems I've been having all sorts of really bizarre dreams lately. Some of them are so bizarre that I wake up from them and call out, "what in blazes was that??!" (ok, maybe I didn't say "blazes") This morning I woke up to a super bizarre one. Maybe some TV program mentioned 9/11, because I dreamed that I was working on the top floor of a VERY high office building. It mostly had cubicles for offices, so you could see much of the window and sky. Anyhow, during this bizarre dream, we began feeling something odd, and it became clear that the top of this TALL building was swaying! ... And swaying hard! It was a slow sway but it was getting mighty scary. We were convinced the building was going to snap and break! Some building official was on the top floor with us as we tried to ask about the problem. He tried to poo-poo it. But then one employee pointed to a corner of the building where there was damage, like part of the building was falling off. Yes, there's a problem!! the employee said. So there was panic as to what to do. I was about to take the stairs and then I woke up. Maybe it was from watching recent episodes of The Young and the Restless!
Another recent dream involved a pizza in a microwave which had coals and a fire inside. ....... And no, I've not been drinking or using drugs! But I want this bizarre dreaming to stop!!
Linda

 Dreams
My dream complaint is...I have a series of dreams about x husband and other x boyfriends. The x has been x husband since I was 23 and don't think I have ever stopped dreaming the rejection I experienced from him. I wish these dreams would stop. They are all very realistic dreams of xs. I am nearly 62 and these dreams have been going on for many years. How could anyone control their dreams? Sometimes they aren't too bad, and one is where one guy actually is persuing me and that is nice. Usually one is very elusive and I am trying to find him or his phone number. Wonder which one I dream about tonight...... Of course I have many other dreams too.

I'm just glad I haven't had my recurring shark dream in quite awhile. Then again, give me a month or two on cpap and I might get there.

IDXMAN01, do the shark police knock on your door? You probably are not old enough to remember the Gilda etal skit on SNL. It was one of the best.

 SUNFLOWERLADY
Good Afternoon,
I have just signed up for this website. I was wondering if anyone is haing the same problems as I am. I have been using my CPAP since Feburary and I can see some different in my sleep. The right I am writing because I am wondering if anyone has any problem with their family members about sleeping so much. I have been listening them about how lazy and unmotivated that I am..They can not seem to understand that it is because I feel totally drained and I am always sleeping. I do not know whatelse to do. I love my family, but I am sick of listening to all the !@#! about being lazy..Any input would be great.
Thanks
Robin

Robin,
Have you told your sleep doc how you feel? If your apnea is being compensated then you should be feeling much better by now. Do you have other issues which would make you tired? I am sorry your family members are so ignorant, but you will find kindred souls and like minds here.

hehe. I wish it were that benign. I don't remember watching the original, but have seen it a number of times. (actually on second look of the airing date, I was barely alive at that time. )
No, this is more like an 'open water' dream where I'm floating on a tube and sharks are coming from below trying to bite me from the middle of the tube.. Then I fall asleep for awhile and wake up again to more sharks.. (of the water kind )

 Dreams
A number of you refer to reoccuring dreams and as JLB has mentioned dreams of Xs. Have any of you thought of actually analyzing your dreams and looking at the symbolizm to see how it relates to you life now. I know this sounds crazy or way out there to some if not all of you. They do say your dreams are the window to the soul. Not sure I believe that, but hey whatever works. I only ask because I use to have dreams continuously for a while with breaks between for a while about my x-fiancee, kind of like JLB was describing. Finally I sat down with a friend of mine who is really good with analyzing dreams and learned that I was still upset about things that happened between us. I had to let go of the issues and learn to accept and forgive him. Now I do not have the dreams, sometimes I see him in a dream but it is not like it was. I use to have a reoccuring dream starting when I was a child up till a few years ago (38 yr. old now) about being trapped in my parents house with a very large mean looking bear, every window or door I went to to try to escape he would be there. Then we looked back and saw that when I was having this dream I was usually going through a time when I needed courage to for whatever reason to get through it, and rather than being couragous I was running from the issue. The bear in some cultures is a symbol of courage. Now that I know this I do not have the dream anymore. I have done this numerous other times too. It seems to work for me to stop or at least understand what is going on and stop the strange dreams. Or at least if nothing else get an idea of what they mean which makes them not so strange. Just a thought, do with it as you will.

I am not angry at my x. But the rejection effected me deeply
Now that I am 62 today, Dec 7th. I have a rather solitary life. I have no family now, but do have a few dear friends. My dreams about x husband actually began in a church study group many years ago now. It was for divorced people to get over the pain. It actually backfired on me and I started with the dreams then. Other x boyfriends followed the series. Some aren't bad, or upsetting, many are. At my age I think it not unusual to reflect on my past.;consciously or unconsciously. More active days and social life then. I am usually 30yrs younger in my dreams. Thin and still cute. Maybe this is common for older people. My mother in her elder years drempt of being a young mother. She drempt about my Dad. Or being lost on city streets caring me as a baby. At 92, you have all those memories to dream about.
