Post Nebulizer & CPAP
My 8 year old daughter has some UR congestion stuff going on. She's back on Neb's.
Just wondering if anyone has come up with a ingenious idea/adapter to hook a neblizer (albuterol) tube into the CPAP hose or mask? I've seen O2 adapters, and I assume there is some type of one way valve. Does any one know if they make such a thing or have any ideas? Ihate it when I have to unhook the mask to give my daughter her nebs, she wakes up and she's sick and cries. Neither one of us are getting much sleep.
Thanks,
Kathy

Well, you should discuss this thoroughly w/her doctor first, but, yes, there is an adapter that fits between the integrated humidifier and the mask hose that is used for 02 supplementation and the nebulizer tubing is the same size, circumference, whatever you want to call it, as 02 tubing so I would think the nebulizer could be placed on the adapter the same as 02 tubing. If one is not using 02 supplementation there is a cap that must be put on the adapter's 02 nipple so you would have to pull the nebulizer tubing when done and put the cap on the adapter in its place. It can get quite noisy when there is no cap or tubing on the adapter nipple.
