Post I am shocked!!! I slept nearly 7 hours without waking up!!!!
I had such bad leak troubles with my mask Sunday night that I was almost afraid to go to sleep last night.  Shocked But, I adjusted the top of the headgear on my mask and found it fit better by my eyes and went to sleep. I woke up at 5-5:30am ish... (forget what time because I was so excited I hadn't been up a ton)... I was elbowing my hubby and going "hey hey wake up I slept allllll night long!!!!!!"  Laughing He said "I know, now go back to sleep, I don't have to get up yet."  Laughing

I don't feel totally rested, but the test is coming... I normally sit and catch some TV with my 4yo once the baby goes to sleep at 9... that is when I nod off.  Shocked We will see how it goes today... I am shocked I went from up 4 times to basically sleeping all night long... Woohoo! I didn't take any sleeping pills either, so I must be getting used to my "fighter pilot" costume.

That's great!  Isn't it odd how some nights go so well, and other nights suck?  Tiny little adjustments seem to make huge differences.

Feeling sleepy again after getting up is a big problem for me, too.  I'm going to try changing my habits.  Rather than sitting down for a few minutes of reading or TV after my hubby goes to work (and fighting the sleepy feeling that always overcomes me at that time) , I'm going to force myself to do something else.  It may take some real force, too.  I'm such a creature of habit.

I have a song stuck in my head, and I've decided it needs to be my new mantra.  "Get Up Offa That Thing!"  I'm going to go for a walk today if it kills me!

@Nal, spot on -- if you want to avoid the sleepiness you have to change the triggers that lead to it.  Just don't put yourself in the position in the first place, and be sure you're busy (physically, mentally or both) so you'll stay distracted.

@2girlsmom -- Instead of watching TV with your 4yr old, is there something you can get busy with nearby?  Probably something up and active instead of sitting would be better if possible.  Then you can be near her but not falling asleep.

Hope this helps, Blessings,

Well, she wanted to play the Nintendo Wii. We are a video game loving family  Embarassed  Laughing but I dozed off a couple of times. I think we'll do something interactive at the kitchen table or something. She deserves an awake mommy, darnit.  Crying or Very sad
