I'm thinking of getting tatoos along my lines. They stay with me until around noon now that my skin is getting middle-aged and losing its elasticity.

I'm told that strap covers would help by padding the edges of the headgear, but I hate the idea of wrapping anything more around my head every night....

The marks are more the shape of the mask than the straps leaving those lovely wrinkles, oh well, guess it's just part of getting old

My mask marks get blended in with the jowl lines (think "Howdy Doody") that were there before starting ASV anyway  It's the headgear lines that make people ask me if I got scratched or something.

minimizing marks

Make sure your mask is fitting properly. You want the straps tight, but not too tight. Its a delicate balancegetting it just right. If you have a full face mask, the soft liner needs to be changed when it starts getting old.

I do much of my face care in the morning, starting with a warm (not hot) moist handtowel to open up the pores. It also fades the mask marks. I end with a moisturizer and sunscreen. keep in mind that the sun, smoking, too agressive cleansing, are all top enemies of your hide.

I also think my sleep mask affects my sinus problems and makes them worse. Does it affect any of you? What do you do about it?

I seem to be having less sinus problems with cpap but I'm running my humidifier at 4.5 and I use a saline nasal spray (I really spray it until it almost srarts running down my throat) half an hour or so before bed. That seems to keep my sinus' clear and pain free.

The answer to that is YES YES YES. Do I hate having wrinkles from my mask ? Yes Would I give up my CPAP? No
I had a guy come up to me and tell me that I use a CPAP machine. He told me he could see the wrinkles on my face and he had the same wrinkles as me.
I was talking to another guy recently and I noticed his CPAP wrinkles and I asked him about them. He hates it but he likes not being tired and no headaches better.
I use ResMed with full mask. I hope they come up with a fix for this because it makes a person look years older.

I have permanent (until I change to something else, I guess) "swoosh" marks on my face from my Swift II mask. Right under my cheek bones, which are high (a good thing?) Every day they are visible all day long. Hate to wear my long hair down, but it kinda helps hide the marks, and when worn up, the marks are highly visible even from a distance.

Been using this make of mask almost since diagnosed in 2005.

most of the little lines and dents i get from cpap fade after a bit of time. Its mostly the head gear straps that give me lines sometimes.

If improperly placed, any mask would leave temporary marks. Once you place the mask properly, these marks should not appear

It leaks unless I cinch it tight. Yes, I've tried all the Full Face masks. They need to invent one JUST FOR ME I guess ](*,)
