Snoring while using CPAP?

Postby BrianP » Mon Aug 28, 2006 10:54 am

Is it possible to still snore using CPAP? My wife swears I'm snoring. I think the sounds she hears may be me trying to breathe through my mouth.

Brian,

If you are still snoring while using cpap, there is a problem. Worth a phone call to your sleep doctor, who may increase pressure by 1 or 2 cms...................usually sorts it...............if not he/she may want to see you.

Daniel.
The untreated Sleep Apnoea sufferer died quietly in his sleep..
Unlike his three passengers who died screaming !

if you have a nose only mask, taping the lips of getting a full face mask is probably the answer

Hi Brian,

I had the same problem early on in my treatment. I called my clinic and they had me increase my pressure by 1cm which cleared it up. Good Luck.
