Hello
I've been using the Swift Nasal Pillow cpap machine for 5 months now.
I recently went to the dentist and he saw an increase in gum swelling since my last visit, about the time
I started the CPAP. I go for cleanings every 3 months because I've had gum disease in the past. Went
to periodontist today and my gum readings have doubled and sometimes trippled in some areas. There
has been no changes in my oral home care which is very good.
My question is . . . Has anyone had similar problems since using the CPAP machine because your mouth
dries out at night with air pressure through nose ?? The periodontist didn't think it was related.
Any comments or thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you.
Rose
