Sharing some sleep info....

Lack Of Sleep Can Result In Weight Gain!

Role of hormones in weight loss and gain

Leptin and ghrelin are the hormones that play a role in weight loss or weight gain. Leptin helps in controlling your appetite while ghrelin helps in stimulating your appetite.

When you don’t get enough sleep, it will be a disaster to your body. When you have lack of sleep, your body responds to it and produces more ghrelin hormone which is appetite inducing. Therefore, not only your sleep affects but your appetite will also be increased.

Due to the increased levels of ghrelin, you feel urge to eat and snack during bed time that is the time at which you should be in bed.

Decreased sleep can make you feel tired and this decrease is the result of reduced leptin in your system. This becomes a cycle which means less sleep and more weight.

Marvin.

Hello everyone...

A new study in the October 15 issue of the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine (JCSM) finds that a high proportion of patients with obstructive sleep apnea hypopnea syndrome (OSAHS) report previous or current use, and interest in future use, of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) therapies.

I got a 10.  I imagine 1 and 5 are the questions most people miss.

Does the lack of a high score keep me from graduation?  If I tell my score, will I get an award?

thank you for posting this link. Of course I participated and unfortunately I only had 5 out of 10.  Confused
I guess I have to learn more about "sleeping" and what it does do our body. Although I was surprised that I only had 5 correct answers.
Love such quizzes because it is fun doing it and besides this you can learn some important facts.
