As you may or may not know, Don Knotts, aka Barney Fife passed on Friday at age 81. There will never be another "Barn" !

I still liked him even in the reruns. Andy Griffith credited much of the show's success to Don.

The great ones have to go at one time or an another.

Yes, he was one of my most favorites.
His character as Barney Fife was like a walking cartoon, almost like a daffy duck, who means well but always gets into trouble anyway.
No one sulks quite like his Barney Fife.  The expressions on his face!!  Loved that character.
Definitely one of a kind.

"Barn" was one of a kind. TV Land is running a marathon right now.

All of our favorites are going to go at one time or another. Just have to feel fortunate that we could witness their talents for real.

There won't be another "Chester" either.
