Post Does This Sound Strange To You?
Hey I am new here. I had my sleep study last Monday and as a lot of people I couldn't get comfortable and what sleep I did get was light. Well I leave in the morning and drag myself through work. Well surprise surprise, my Dr calls me at 10am and wants me at another sleep study that night(he even got tricare to approve it and tricare is so cheap it is unbelievable).....he didn't like my results. OK so i sleep drive the 1.5 hours to the study and they put me on cpap and I slept like a dream. The tech apparently adjusted levels all night and I woke myself up snorting only once.
My question is does it always feel this good. All day Wednesday I felt like heaven, no headache, no sticky notes everywhere, energy to the point I walked my dog and just felt happy. Now after I woke up on Thursday I felt like someone surviving a hangover....yuck.

Is it possible that cpap can make that big a differnce?

Thanks

This was after a sleep study?? I had numerous apneas on my titration night and was so exhausted...mind you the entire day prior I had the narcolepsy study (5 20 minute naps, 2 hours apart from each other) and the night before that I had the first study (without titration). But again on my titration night (my 3rd study in a row), I had numerous apneas, central and obstructive, due to the titration so I was a mess afterwards.

You are very lucky to have experienced that!!! I would say rather than being skeptical, just be happy!!!  Very Happy

Assuming Wednesday night you did not use a CPAP? Yes, CPAP's can do that for you...I'm just surprised it did it for you during your sleep study, but I'm very far from an expert.

If your doctor got you back in there that fast, it wouldn't surprise me if he saw severe sleep apnea results on your report.  Consider yourself lucky that you got tested, he got you back in there so quickly for titration, and that CPAP results were so positive so quickly.  Hopefully you can get your own CPAP quickly too.

I always feel better the morning of my annual sleep studies because they optimize my therapy.  Yes, it is possible to notice a striking difference after one night.
