air coming out thru left ear??

Postby gldnrm01 » Mon May 25, 2009 10:15 am

Not sure what to think. The CPAP hasn't been that pleasant the past month or so....sinuses, etc. Last night i thought i heard some air passing thru my ear canal. When i put my hand next to my ear sure enough i could feel the air coming out. i turned the machine off and am unsure what to make of this or what to do. Is this normal?

Call your sleep doctor immediately. The only way air can come out of your ear is if you have a ruptured ear drum. Is it possible that you are feeling a leak coming out the side of your mask?

This lends a new meaning to the term "air head"! By all means, do let us know what your sleep team has to say. Meanwhile, I don't think I'd use your CPAP tonight if I were you. Good luck!!!!
