Post Craftmatic adjustable beds
Has there ever been any studies on whether Craftmatic Adjustable beds will help SA, since you can be a lot more propped up?

Sounds in theory like it would help - just wondering if anyone had ever heard of them used for this reason.

While I'm not aware of any data / studies SPECIFICALLY on the Craftmatic bed, there is no question that sleeping in a more inclined position will decrease the severity of OSA.

I know of many people that can't stand to use CPAP, and have AHI 10-15 range, they choose to sleep at 45 degree angle and were re-studied at this angle and their AHI < 5.  I know of others with severe OSA requiring very high pressures (18cm +) that couldn't stand the high pressure, so they sleep at 30-45 degrees and only need 10cm pressure which is more tolerable for them.

I can't lay flat because of my back and I always sleep in a fowlers position, and I have had 6 sleep studies and all of them were in an adjustable bed except the last one and it was in a recliner chair anyway I slept in a fowlers type position for all of them, and even then, my first study showed I had moderate to severe SA!  At home I slept in a recliner for over 10 years in the living room, and for the last  year or so  I slept in a adjustable bed prior to being diagnosed with SA. When my wife and I got the adjustable bed, and we started sleeping together again that is when she noticed  that I was snoring and choking and gasping and not breathing when I sleep, that is when I went to the doctor and got diagnosed. So  does sleeping in a sitting up position really help SA? Obviously it doesn't keep you from developing it, or it didn't for me anyway.
