Post Need direction
Hi, my 13 yo daughter had her annual sleep study last friday.  Saturday morning I asked the tech if he had to change the titration (i heard it cranking up during the night) and he said yes that he had set it to 11.  Her setting has been at 6 for the past year and at 8 the year prior to that.  She hasn't had any major changes, surgeries, weight gain etc...  What's up with this?  Of course i called the doc's and I'm waiting to hear back.
I want to find a good sleep medicine doctor/clinic - where do I start?
Thank you, Snakegirls mom

Whew! GOOD question! You can't even count on the hospitals to have a good sleep clinic anymore much less a good pediatric sleep clinic. So many are cutting costs by improving facilities and cutting staff and staff doctors and going w/contract consult doctors.

If you feel the need and are able Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN has a pediatric sleep clinic w/in their neurology department w/a full complement of across the spectrum "sleep doctors": Neuros, Pulmos, Psychiatrists, Otorhinolaryngology, Orthodontics, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, etc., etc. Suresh Kotagal, M.D. is listed on staff as specializing in child and adolescent sleep medicine.
