Hi Brumbek,
How are you doing these days?
All the best,
Francesrose

Hi Francesrose, I sent you a private message but didn't hear back from you. If you want to talk more, let me know by posting here or sending me a private message.

I'm trying to deal with Lyme disease, which can be really tricky. But we all have struggles in this life.

Post CFIDS meds
Hi Brumbek,
I was finally able to look at the print outs from the Holtorf Medical Group.  I felt hopeful with finding some meds that might help the fatigue & insominia, until I reseached the drugs...WOW, they are pretty powerful.  The Valcyte, Xyrem, Pyridostigmine-oral, Hydrocortisone oral...have you tried any of them?  The one I want to ask my primary to try for me on a limited basis, is the Hydrocortisone oral, I think.  I have been taking the L-Carnitine supplement.

So please let me know if any meds are working for you.  I wish you a renewal in your health & well being.  You are far too young to feel this way.  It will get better for you, you have to believe that it will!  It's just not always in the time frame that we want.

All the best,
Francesrose

Well, I'm not any of those steroid type drugs and I personally would NEVER take them because they are quite dangerous. I tend to be a natural/herbal/vitamin person and I don't like pharmaceuticals because most mess with the body's balance rather than restore it.

However, I am currently on three antibiotics for long-term for treating Lyme. I'm considering stopping them though because antibiotics are also not natural and harm the body in many ways.

Anyway, everybody must decide for themselves what is best, but I try to avoid all prescriptions if possible. Write back with any questions. Talk to you later.

Post antibiotics
Hi Brumbek,
Thank you for your response.  I agree 100% re: pharmaceuticals, BUT when I read you are taking 3 antibiotics I had to wrote back asap.  Two years ago I came down with C-diff (I am a special ed teacher for little ones).  After knowing I was dying & no one being able to help me, a partner of my primary on call that day, knew what I had before she even tested me, but still teseted me w/a stool sample to be sure.  I am still recovering from the C-diff.  You can google a support group site: www.cdiffsupport.com to find out way info than I am giving you.  It also has a list of "safe" antibiotics, "middle of the road", & "likely to cause C-diff."  I am asking you to do 2 things: PLEASE look at that, & get yourself (if you're not all ready) on a good probiotic like Culturelle GG...my GI specialist likes this one... (at any drug store) to protect yourself from C-diff.  It's worth the money!

Let me hear from you, Brumbek.
Francesrose
