I hope someone can help me. I have the Remstar M Series with C-Flex and the Mirage Swift II Nasal Pillows. I have the humidifier as well and I have it set at 3. Lately for some reason the mask is making alot of noise and wakes me up. It's not a leak just alot of noise and it's driving me crazy. Last night I just pulled the whole thing off. Anyone out there have any ideas. I have an appointment on Tuesday to check it out but I would prefer not having to go. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have been using various configurations of cpap equipment since 1993. Believe me, you have an air leak somewhere. Either the hose has a pin hole or crack or something is not right with the pillow mount.
These are just off the cuff guesses but there has to be a leak or the machine is going down. Those are the only systems you have.

I found that I was getting a noise and it was where the hard plastic sleeve with the exhaust holes slides over the 2 sides of the pillow at the base of the 'drum'.  Another area is where the frame of the 'drum' connects to the headgear.  The side discs have a triangular shape which have to fit snuggly into the same triangular shape of the head gear....like a puzzle piece......Hope I explained it so one can follow what i meant!

I found out the problem. The technician told me to lower the thermostat from 2 to 3 as it's a lot more humid in the summer. Sure enough last night I wasn't awoken by that horrible noise. Hope it works again tonight.
So if any one else has this problem this is what worked for me. I know the noise from a leak and this just wasn't it. Thanks again everyone. As usual you are always a great support.

If you haven't done so already, find the little navy blue Velco strap that came with the mmask, and lash the output hose from the mask against the headband.  That will solve a lot of leak problems.

You may get a clunking sound in the tube from moisture build up, and just disconnecting it from the CPAP and shaking the drops out of the hose will stop the problem. I use a Swift II & have found that in the summer time this happens because of the humidity.
