Hi Everyone:
I had two sleep studies, one on 9/7/05 and the other on 10/4/05.
I took 100mg of Trazadone before each sleep study.
I was on CPAP during the second sleep study.
Sleep efficiency during first sleep study was 54% (poor)
Sleep efficiency during second sleep study was 89% (acceptable)
Sleep architecture (first sleep study)
Awake - 16.3%
Stage 1 - 10.3%
Stage 2 - 52.8%
Stage 3/4 - 15.1%
REM - 21.5%
Sleep architecture (second sleep study)
Awake - 3.5%
Stage 1 - 14.4%
Stage 2 - 42.8%
Stage 3 - 21.4%
REM - 21.4%
Moderate snoring during first sleep study
No snoring during second sleep study
Heart rate during first sleep study was 45 (awake) and 43 (sleep)
Heart rate during second sleep study was 51 (awake) and 46 (sleep)
It was hard for me to compare the other information, but overall there was a significant sleep improvement with the CPAP compared to the diagnostic night.
I have moderately severe obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome according to the first sleep study.
