Post Rainout - It's ruining my nights
I know I've heard people talk about this before, but during the warmer months I never had a big problem with this. But now that it's colder (and I like to keep the room cold and pull up the  covers) about mid way through the night when I go to shift from one side to the other, I'll sometimes lay for a second on my back. The last few nites I've gotten a facefull of water. That pretty much wakes me all the way up and I don't put the mask back on after that, and I end up doing the half sleep that  started all this.

I have the warmth setting on my humidifier set to 2, which I have inched down from 3. I live in SoCal which is considered to be a semi-arid climate. I'm guessing that the humidity/dewpoint play some part in this, but with my setting so low, is there ANY way to avoid this? I like the idea of having the air warmed through the mask, but I don't care so much about the moisture. What would happen if I turned the humidifier on without putting water in the chamber? It doesn't feel like it gets too hot, would it melt the water bowl? Or should I just leave the whole mess out of the equation?

HELP!!!

The heated hose is by far the best solution.  Google aussie heated hose and you will find their store.  Even without insurance covering it, it is WELL worth it!
