I'll have to check to see a few things - if I have the "Autoscore" ?? Maybe I do because when I get up in the night and click the Start/Stop button it does continue to operate at a low flow and then when I get back I can start it up again (it starts in the Ramp feature, which I like).  But if I click the same button then immediately click on it again, it starts up at the same full pressure.
And I know SmartStart is not enabled because I took a peek at the Clinical menu. I left it the way it is. Why would I want that on? I'm just wondering what it does, from a practical user standpoint...

Thanks!

With SmartStart enabled, if you take your mask off, the flow generator "stops" treatment after a few seconds.  Similarly when you put your mask on and inhale, the flow generator "starts" treatment.  I use it, as it saves me from having to find buttons on the flow generator in the dark.

Cheers,

Bill

Yup, the new Resmed VPAP Auto (bi-level in the S8 body) does too. That and the button lights staying on used to drive me nuts when I first got my Elite. I took me awhile, duh, to realize that it DID turn itself (and the button lights) off eventually - if you didn't keep pushing the Off button repeatedly each time you walked in the room and saw them on.
