Post CPAP Pillows?
Hello all~

I used my CPAP machine for the first time last night.  I have a Remstar Plus M series with heated humidifer.  I'm using a Mirage Quattro Full Face Mask.  It's the mask I used during my sleep study and titration.  So far, I like this mask.  However, I'm had some trouble with leaks when I switch sides in my sleep.

I usually use a cervical pillow.  Half way through the night, I switched to a regular pillow (folded it in half) which seems to work a little better with the mask but doesn't give me the support my neck needs.  I finally got my neck and back issues to a place I don't need to see a chiropactor twice a week.  I was doing some research this morning and saw CPAP pillows.

Has anyone used one?  Had anyone success with one?  I see a few for sale on eBay.  I wanted to get some feedback before investing $50+ in one of these things.

BTW, I don't feel any better.  I don't feel like I slept.  However, I said the same thing during my titration and the numbers showed that I did.  Time will tell....

sleeping on back and sides shouldnt need a special pillow, you usually need to experiment using different pillows or combinations of them, avoid springy pillows that fight back
sounds like the headgear straps need tightening, check tension by pulling the mask about 1 inch from face to see if tension is even, also new elastic stretches....

the improvement in energy takes a while to becoma apparent usually

I used to use a "hard" polyfill pillow that I folded in half.  I now use a water pillow and have found that it works great when sleeping on back or side.  It has thick, relatively stiff polyfill on top of the water bag.  I now don't have to fold and beat the pillow into submission, it just works.

I'm on my second papillow and swear by them. I turn side to side all night long and this is the best pillow that works for me.
