Post Morning Sleepiness
Hello,
One week of treatment on my APAP and I'm feeling much better (after many adjustments to machine and mask). However, I am still drowsy/sleepy in the morning. It's not the fatigue type of tiredness I had before. I am sleeping well for 7 and one half hours or so.
Anyone else experience this, and does it go away?
Thanks,
Lee Ann

Hi Lee Ann,

I think your tiredness will pass. Probably part of the sleep debt you are paying off, and probably the result of a good nights restful sleep......which should pass.

You are probably getting a lot more quality sleep now than ever before, and the body needs to adjust to it.

Daniel

Daniel,
You have made me feel alot better. I want to thank you for helping all of us newbies out here!
I will say that it is a different sleepiness than before CPAP if that makes sense. Not tired. just sleepy!
Thanks again for all you do.

Lee Ann,

I know what you mean by 'different', more like proper tiredness rather than the total fatigue associated with OSA. I am sure it will pass.

Kind regards,

Daniel.
