Post Helo, sore nose
Hi,

I have been doing fine with the Mirage pillows, last night was my 6th night.  The night before last if felt a bit sore inside when I took it off at arond 4:30am, but this morning it has rubbed only one side of my nose, not inside, right the edge, I guess near the very top of my lip where my nostril starts.  I keep putting cream on it but it's really red.  Anyone else had problems?  I hope it's not going to be a continued problem.  One the positive side, another great night last night with very few awakenings and I am finally going into a deep rested sleep.  It's so great to feel refreshed in the morning!  Very Happy  Very Happy  Very Happy

Thanks!
Wendy

Hi Wendy,

I started with a nasal pillow system this week too but traded off to a mask yesterday as my left nose was feeling very sore where you are describing your soreness.  I, too, hope it goes away as I certainly prefer the nasal pillow to the mask.

I have read in forums that the AYR gel is good for the sore, that antibiotic cream helps its healing, and even that AYR + castor oil is good.  I was using the AYR trying to prevent it, so continue using that, and tried antibiotic cream which doesn't seem to help much.  Today I'm going to break open an vit. E capsule and try that!

I envy you feeling so rested, I suspect I am a little better, but certainly it is not overwhelmingly better.

Judy

Wendy,

Soreness from nasal pillows is usually a result of using a pillow that is too small. You should try using the next size up. It usually fixes it.

Daniel,  I never thought of them being too small because for 6 nights they haven't bothered me.  I'll try the larger one and see what happens.

Thanks!
Wendy
