Hi. I'm Sammie. My husband was given a CPAP machine about 6 months ago I think... at any rate.. he wore it very well at first, but now every night when I go to bed he doesn't have it on. I wake him up repeatedly until he puts it on ( so I can sleep without listening to him snore!)....  then we argue about me waking him up, lol. It's a vicious cycle!

N-Eways, glad to find somewhere that I can vent about him!

Welcome, Sammie,

Venting is a good thing.   Very Happy

Keep pushing him.  Not only is he snoring, his health is at risk without his cpap.  So keep trying.

BTW, love your website!

Linda

Thanks! I do push him, and kick and hit, lol. Every time he makes a noise at night im poking at him or something he finally puts it on.. but GAHHH! I waste at least 30 minutes of sleep a night doing that!

he will live longer if he uses the CPAP, untreated apnea is hard on the heart so give him lots of encouragement
BTW a frequent problem is breathing thru the mouth with any nose only mask, this stops all benefits so watch for it

When your spouse has Sleep Apnea, it is not only him to face Sleep Apnea.  It is both of you to work together.  I understand how much you have been caring of him to remind him putting on CPAP.  Somehow you can let him know your caring so he will take care of himself by not sleeping wihtot CPAP.
