Hi, my 80yo mother appears to have central sleep apnea. She is also treated for heart failure which I understand can be related to CSA. She has had a sleep study done and gets the results in 3 days. I suspect it will show that her oxygen levels are not dropping too much but her main problem is that she can easily fall asleep but is awoken almost immediately with feelings of air hunger. Some articles say sleeping tablets make things worse, others say take stronger sleeping tablets. Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas to help CSA. I don't know how she is going to cope with virtually no sleep for 3 more nights. We are all exhausted and don't know what to do.
